Do Now:  Find the handout with Universal Topics and Transcendentalism on it, Highlight or Underline any of the Universal Topics that interest you for whatever reason. - 3
Agenda:
>  Turn in all signed paperwork from the folder - 2
>  New Seats - 3
>  New Rules after P6 unfortunate incident - 2
>  New SpringBoard texts - 5
    > write last name & period on bottom
>  New Stamp Tracker into INB (no INB = write on paper and staple into INB when you have it - see me if you need help getting one) - 3
>  Hw check - anyone want to share aloud - 5
>  Finish UT to intro connotation vs. denotation - 10
    >  pick one of the UT's you marked, define it in your own words, write out any other possible interpretation
>  Intro Transcendentalism - 10
    >  attach the 1 pager into INB
    >  connections to Pursuit of Happiness or UT's or Dream/Vision Boards from last year?
>  Unpack EA1 - 15
    >  place sticky note/tab on p. 253 and p. 299
    >  together = pp. 253-256, parter = pp. 299-300

Hw:  Paraphrase today's main ideas into 30 words or less in your INB

Do Now:  Label your INB with today's date and the heading "Searching for Meaning." - 1

    >  place sticky note/tab on p. 253 and p. 299

>  SB 4.2  on pp. 257 - 264 (I know, I'm time challenged) - 25
>  INB 8 min. Timed Writing - Writing Prompt - p. 259 
Target Practice:  In you INB, score your writing - 5

>  Personal Connection = 4/3/2/1
>  Support = 4/3/2/1
Hw:  
1.  Get your syllabus signed
2.  List 10 possible ideas you could write about in your EA1
Optional:  cover for your SB includes Full Name, Period, your view of the Pursuit of Happiness (school approps) - Due Day 1 next week

Day 3
Thu. 08/06/15 & Fri. 08/07/15

Do Now:  In your INB, list one test taking strategy you know of or have used
Agenda:
>  Write your Name, Period # on the baggie and use it to keep your book, Into the Wild, safe and clean
>  STAR Assessment - Pre-game Pep Talk, Game, Debrief
